‘Ecologists talk about “wildlife-human conflicts.” But when you explore them, you soon discover that many would be better labelled wildlife-livestock conflicts. Almost without exception, where livestock are kept, large predators are killed. In some places, like the United Kingdom, they have been wiped out altogether.
