It’s not about a gender-specific need for connection, it’s more about men being uncomfortable with emotion and in many cases incapable or unwilling to engage in introspection. Men need connection. Men need to edify one another. But few are comfortable being called on their bullshit. So instead of seeking refinement and improvement, the embrace their comfort zone, which often involves immature and frankly un-manly thought cycles.
