Equal quantities of cake mix and bicarbonate of soda. The rat has really strong stomach acid and bicarb causes a violent reaction in the stomach. The rat can't belch or fart to get rid of the gas reaction. Nasty but effective. We are getting too many in the hotel grounds this year
