Life on the River

The higher the love, the more demands will be made on us to conform to that ideal.
The flower that smells the sweetest is shy and lowly.
Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold.
I have possessed that heart, that noble soul, in whose presence I seemed to be more than I really was, because I was all that I could be.
The Bhagavad Gita – that ancient Indian Yogic text – says that it is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else's life with perfection.
I worry there is something broken in our generation, there are too many sad eyes on happy faces.
