This beast is called the “Bentley Meteor”. It looks like something out of the 1920’s but is actually only about 10+ years old… sort of. Built by Bob Petersen Engineering (UK) it took 3 years to complete. (The best I can tell, from 2009 to 2012). It is based on a 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II chassis but has a Bentley bulkhead, steering, radiator and brakes. But, here’s the kicker: The engine is a 27 liter (Twenty seven!) Rolls-Royce Meteor Engine (Derived from the Merlin engine) that powered the British Spitfire and Lancaster bombers) and produces an average of 850 bhp! Jay Leno currently owns it. (See: 1930 Bentley 27 liter - Jay Leno’s Garage on YouTube)
